Lingmoor Fell and Side Pike 14th March 2010

We had a day walk on the fell that I have probably climbed most over the years, my first ever Wainwright and still one of my favourites

Ready for the off. We parked at the deserted (apart from a lonely camper van) Chapel Stile camp site.

Robert gives the hurry up to Tom and Em on the lane leading from Baysbrown Farm.

The old quarry workings on the path up the fell.

Looking down on the working quarry from the same path.

An old level.

The Coniston Fells from higher up the fell.

Looking over to the South with Windermere just visible.

Phew ! It's hard work this mountain climbing.

Time for a breather. By this time Robert has got fed up with our pace and is already at the Summit.

The Coniston fells again.

All at the top now. This is the only shot I got as the wind was so fierce we could hardly stand...

Blea Tarn with Blake Rigg and pike o' Blisco behind

Lingmoor Fell is a well known viewpoint for the Langdale Pikes.

On our way down now looking into Mickleden.

We cut across the fell to join the new path down to the valley.
